DAY 10: This Thai dessert is called Khao Niew Na Sangkaya (ข้าวเหนียวหน้าสังขยา), which is Thai custard on sticky rice. It cost 12 baht. The sangkaya custard is made with thick coconut milk, palm sugar and pandanus leaves. Everything is mixed together and then strained through muslin. Then it is steamed over boiling water for 20 minutes. |
